Q: What would my lead time on an order be?

A: Lead times ultimately depend on what is being ordered and in what quantity. If you have a specific lead time or need to find out how fast an order can be procured, click on our Contact Us tab at the top of the page and follow the prompts to fill out your request, or find our phone # listed to contact us directly.

Q: I don’t see the product I’m looking for listed, but I see many other similar products in different sizes, does this mean you don’t make it?

A: Absolutely not. Many of the products listed on our website are standard products that are sold frequently throughout the industry. However, we pride ourselves on our ability and breadth of custom manufactured products to fit our individual customers’ needs. If you don’t see your product listed, click on our Custom tab above and follow the prompts. From there you will be able to describe, list specs, upload drawings or pictures or speak directly with any of our reps to discuss your product.

Q: What's the difference between Aluminum and Stainless Steel Products?

A: Everything in the vertical freezer racks section can be ordered in Stainless Steel or Aluminum.

Aluminum- Typically, aluminum is chosen for a rack by a lab that is looking for a more precise and controlled freezing of they samples they are working with. This is done because aluminum is a better energy conductor than stainless steel. Aluminum is also typically used in a nitrous oxide freezing process where a vapor platform is being used and the rack is being frozen using the vapor and not by being submerged into the nitrous oxide.

Stainless Steel- Stainless Steel racks are much more durable. They will not break down over time. They also do not oxidize so labs that have the most stringent requirements regarding particulate matter (dust, dirt, etc.) will use stainless steel racks. The fact that they do not oxidize means they are much cleaner to handle. Also, stainless steel racks when used in a nitrous oxide tank will be submerged in the nitrous oxide itself during the freezing process.

Q: How much does shipping cost?

A: Shipping cost will depend again on the size(weight) of any order placed. For a shipping quote, feel free to Contact Us and describe the product you are ordering, the quantity, and the zip code for our best estimate. If you have a preferred shipper or shipping account #, we can definitely set your shipping up through your preferred carrier. We have preferred rates with UPS and most of our shipping is directed through them, unless requested otherwise by our customer. On orders that need to be shipped on pallets, we use various services to quote us the lowest rates, these rates being reflected in the shipping cost during checkout.

Shipping will be automatically added to all orders upon checkout. Shipping costs are predetermined based on weight and location the shipment is going. This means that all website orders are charged a pre-determined shipping cost. Orders paying by credit card will have shipping charged to the card being used at the time of checkout. We can still ship via your specific shipping account if so desired and credit back the cost of the shipping charge minus a slight packaging charge, when needed and applicable. Please contact us with any special shipping instructions to set-up those accommodations.

Q: Do you accept returns?

A: We will accept all returns on standard items that arrive back in original packaging without any defects for a 15% restocking fee.* Custom items will not be accepted for return unless they are defective due to a manufacturing error on our end that differs from a previously accepted sample. Returns must be made within 30 days of receiving your order. Exceptions can be made should any product that contains a defect via manufacturing at any time based on our discretion.
